Since its inception in 1975, GDC has dredged about 30 million cubic metres of material in Kuwait. Gulf Dredging Company combines marine expertise with a thorough knowledge of the local conditions in the Gulf particularly in the Kuwait territorial waters.

The dredged material is pumped ashore by the Cutter Suction Dredger thereby reclaiming the shoreline. Apart from hydraulic filling, reclamation is also carried out by carting coarse sand fill from borrow pits of selected sand quarries. Noteworthy reclamation projects include Az-Zoor Power Station, Amiri Diwan Project, Sabiya Power Station Project, Shuaiba Harbour Basin Works, Water Front Development Project Phase V at Salmiya, Fahaheel Water Front Development Project etc….
